Scope and Content: Carbon copy of a typescript letter from the Department of Physiology at the University of Rochester. The letter is marked 'COPY' at the top of the first page and the names John R. Murlin, Henry A. Mattill, and Harry D. Clough are listed in the top left corner. Only Murlin signed the letter. Murlin discusses his desire to patent his own anti-diabetic agent and mentions a discussion he had with Banting.
