Item is a 5cc bottle, 1 cardboard box and a printed insert. The insulin is from lot #65355 721938 which was distributed October 16, 1922. The label on the bottle reads: 'Hypoderm I'letin Active principle from the Islands of Langerhans 20 units in 5cc. ... Eli Lilly & Co. Indianapolis, U.S.A.' G.H.A. Clowes of Eli Lilly & Co. mentions this lot of insulin in his letter to Macleod on October 20/22 and it is also noted in a letter of October 24 to F.G. Banting from Dr. Walters at the Lilly Laboratory.
