The minutes dated Aug. 17, 1922 to Sept. 18, 1923 are unsigned typescript copies of the originals. Minutes dated Oct. 12, 1923 to Sept. 29, 1925 are original typescript pages and are signed by F. Lorne Hutchison, Executive Secretary, and Albert Gooderham, Chairman. From Aug. 17, 1922 to March 5, 1923 the minutes are titled Minutes of the Meeting of the Special Advisory Committee on Diabetes. From March 16, 1923 to Sept. 29, 1925 the minutes are titled Minutes of the Meeting of the Special Advisory Committee on Insulin. The minutes record decisions made by the committee in regard to: which doctors will receive supplies of insulin; patents and trademarks; the agreements made with the Eli Lilly Company; and the granting licenses to various companies worldwide to manufacture and distribute insulin. Also includes excerpts from letters and wires, agendas, and discussions of salaries and accounts.
