Item is a 3 page document assigning the patent for insulin to the Governors of the University of Toronto. The first page is a Canadian Patent Office printed form, filled out by hand, and bearing the signature of M. J. Morison, Assignment Clerk, and a Patent Office seal. The second and third pages are carbon copy typescripts signed by Banting, Best, and Collip and embossed with a Canadian Patent Office stamp. The assignment is no. 111631 for application No. 273746 for 'Extract obtainable from the mammalian pancreas or from the related glands of fishes.'
