Item is 2 pages of notes made in pencil with additions made in ink, in Banting's and Best's hands. Records observations made for Dog 35 and the first experiment using extract made from fresh pancreas. On the second page a parenthetical entry records the photographing of Dog 33 (Marjorie).

MS. COLL. 76 (Banting), Box 6A, Folder 11 Title based on content of item. Depancreatized dog 35 was injected with extract made from its own pancreas. Dog's blood sugar dropped from .38 to .18 in four hours. This procedure was a major advance in the research since supplies of fresh whole pancreas were more easily obtainable.
