Professor C. L. Starr,
Department of Surgery
University of Toronto.
I wish to make application for the George Armstrong Peters Scholarship. I have secured the premission of the Surgical Research Committee to do an original investigation on the viability of (1) autogenous, (2) homogenous, (3) heterogeneus grafts of degenerated pancreatic tissue. With the assistance of Mr. C. H. Best, we will commence on Thursday, October 20th. We believe that such an investigation will be of great value in ascertaining the clinical uses of substance contained in such tissue in the treatment of diabetes.
The Scholarship, if granted, will be of great material assistance in the carrying out of this work.
Hoping this will meet with your favourable consideration.
