Typescript letter written on Lilly Research Laboratories letterhead with additions and corrections made in ink and signed by G. H. A. Clowes. Includes a 2 page postscript. Clowes writes to Macleod stating his understanding of the conclusions reached during their last meeting. The main body of the text summarizes the Insulin Committee's desires for the distribution of Iletin and Sir Robert Falconer's suggestion for the public statement that will accompany the publication of the first articles on the clinical trials of insulin in the Journal of Metabolic Research. Clowes then addresses the Insulin Committee's objection to the use of the name Iletin and makes a pitch for Lilly to hold an exclusive license for the manufacture and distribution of insulin. The postscript mainly discusses clinicians.
