3 p. ; 33 x 20 cm.
Typescript letter number 1092/23 written on Medical Research Council letterhead and signed by Walter M. Fletcher. Notes made in F. Lorne Hutchison's [?] hand at top of first page read: 'N.B. reference to the subject matter of this letter is made in letter from F.L.H. to Sir Walter dated Jan. 16, 1924.' This letter outlines the Medical Research Council's frustration and the complications that ensued when the Insulin Committee decided to compel the Lilly Company to change their standard unit of insulin.
