Henderson tells his wife that Macleod has resigned and then discusses the future of the Physiology department and the possibility that he might try for the post. States that he doesn't want another 'cocky, overbearing foreigner' running the department. Briefly mentions F. G. and Marion Banting.

Velyien Ewart Henderson was the head of the department of Pharmacology from 1919-1945.
Edith Elizabeth Henderson went to France with their youngest son, Micheal, in the winter of 1928 to learn French. V. E. Henderson and their eldest son, V. E. jr., were to join them in June.
