Dearest Mother,
This can't be a long letter at all, but its just written to say that I'm simply overcome and altogether too happy and excited for words over the good news your last letter brought. I can't believe its true that the conference is really getting finished and that Father is really beginning to see his way clear to coming down here to the balmistest "isle of sunshine," he ever knew to actually get a vacation. Don't let him believe he'll be seasick, not yourself either, for I don't believe you will be and remember please to tell Mr. Bannerman that if you come on the Ft. Homilton to try your best to get the room we had, number 18 for its steady being in the middle and altogether as large, airy, comfortable
