Item is a cardboard box, still sealed. The insulin is from Lot 74818 741144, according to the label on the bottom of the box. The label on the front of the box reads: '5cc Iletin (Insulin, Lilly) U10. 10 units in each cc. Insulin is the active principle from the Islet tissue of the pancreas. Iletin is the name which designates the insulin made by Eli Lilly and Company under license from the University of Toronto. Use only on physician's order. Eli Lilly & Co. Indianapolis, U.S.A.' This insulin must have been produced after April 1923 when Lilly agreed to modify the name of their product by adding the words 'Insulin, Lilly' to the product labelling.
