Item is a white box containing 4 glass bottles and a printed insert. The insulin is from lot 292-19, issued July 21, 1924. Label on the box reads: 'Insulin - Toronto. 500 units. This package contains 5 Ten C.C. Vials. Single Strength - 10 Units per C.C. Prepared by Connaught Laboratories, University of Toronto. Toronto, Canada.' The box originally contained five bottles, four of which remain. Each of the bottles has the same label reading: 'Insulin Toronto 100 units - 10 CC. 10 Units per C.C. Guaranteed until Jan 21 1925. Lot No. 292-19. Connaught Laboratories University of Toronto, Toronto, Can.' According to the Connaught Anti-toxin Laboratories filling records for insulin this bottle was filled July 4, 1924, and a total of 379 vials were produced.
