through Dickens now, with other books that I read aloud with Blanche too, and then my magazine reading too. My sweaters are coming along beautifully, and this afternoon Blanche and I spent at Norwood knitting and visiting with the girls and I had a lovely time too, playing their victrola for I hadn't heard one since I left home, and it seemed mighty good, I tell you. Yesterday we spent all day from 11.00 to 6.15 around on the pt. on a picnic and you can imagine how lovely it was. I watched Blanched while she went in bathing for the 1st time and then we ate, and knitted and read out-loud. Tomorrow if it's nice we're planning to go to the band-concert! M.r Parmelee
